Enjoy the best of New England including Boston, MA on this small group tour during fall foliage season. You will visit Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine with plenty of time to absorb the spirit of each location. From the freedom trail in Boston, to the exquisite mansions of Newport, RI to the spectacular forests of Vermont and New Hampshire, everyday will give you a new appreciation of New England.

ITINERARY


DAY 1 - Saturday, September 19: Fly to Boston, MA

Today you will catch a flight to Boston, MA for the start of our tour. Upon arrival at Boston Logan International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in the city center. This evening, you will meet your group for welcome talk with your tour leader before heading out to dinner in Boston’s North End for a delicious Italian meal. Overnight in Boston

DAY 2 - Sunday, September 20: Boston

This morning you will enjoy a walking tour of Boston including its Public Garden, Common, and the Freedom Trail with a local guide where you will learn more about the city’s rich history. After a delicious lunch of New England fare, we will continue our exploration of the city. Overnight in Boston

DAY 3 - Monday, September 21: Newport & Narragansett, RI

Today we will visit the mansions of Newport, RI in their dramatic coastal setting. After a leisurely walk along the Newport cliff walk, we will visit two of the most famous mansions in Newport. We will eat lunch at one of the mansion cafes while enjoying the view. Later today, we will arrive in the town of Narragansett, RI to enjoy this quaint seaside town where you can enjoy exploring its shops, restaurants or some sea glass beach-combing. Overnight in Narragansett

DAY 4 - Tuesday, September 22: Sturbridge & Northampton, MA

Today we will visit Old Sturbridge Village in central Massachusetts where you will step back in time at this outdoor living history museum. Afterwards, we will enjoy a lunch at the historic Salem Cross Inn before heading to the eclectic university town of Northampton, MA where you will enjoy exploring its shops and restaurants. Overnight in Northampton.

DAY 5 - Wednesday, September 23: Vermont

Today we will venture through the Green Mountain of Vermont to enjoy some “leaf peeping”. We will stop along the way for lots of scenic viewpoints, a few covered bridges and a tasting of Vermont maple syrup. We will arrive in the ski town of Killington, VT where you will have the option of taking the gondola to the top of the ski mountain for another fantastic view. Overnight in Killington.

DAY 6 - Thursday, September 24: New Hampshire

Today we will venture through the White Mountains of New Hampshire including one of the most scenic drives in New England over the Kancamagus pass for more leaf peeping. We will arrive at the historic Mt. Washington Resort in time for a light lunch before enjoying a ride up the mountain on its cog railway. Afterwards, we will arrive in the vibrant town of North Conway, our resting place for this evening. Overnight in North Conway

DAY 7 - Friday, September 25: Maine

Today we will head to the Maine coast where we will enjoy a scenic boat cruise on the Atlantic Ocean. After lunch at a traditional Maine lobster shack and at least one lighthouse visit, we will visit some seaside towns such as Kennebunkport where you will enjoy walking through these coastal towns. Overnight in Maine.

DAY 8 - Saturday, September 26: Fly out from Boston, MA

Today, you will be transferred to Boston for your return flight home. Please book your flight for after 1PM EST.
