The journey continues with 3 nights in the elegant city of Bath, where you’ll marvel at the UNESCO World Heritage Roman Baths, meet a distinguished bookbinder with royal ties, and take a day trip to the breathtaking landscapes of Wales. For those eager to explore London, a personalized private or small group extension can be arranged before or after the tour.

Born and raised in Oxford, England, Louise Maciejewski is your expert guide on this journey through history and culture. A graduate of St. Clare’s Hall, Oxford, Louise holds a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology from the esteemed Institute of Archaeology in London. After extensive travels throughout Europe, she now calls Tuscany home, where she runs an organic olive farm. With her deep love for England and wealth of experience as a certified tour guide, Louise is excited to share the timeless beauty and stories of her homeland with you.

DAY 0 - Saturday, April 5: Recommended Early Arrival in London

Fly from the USA to London, England, before the morning start of your tour the following day.

DAY 1 - Sunday, April 6: Blenheim Palace and Transfer to Cotswold District

This morning, around 9 AM, we’ll gather at an airport hotel near London Heathrow. For those arriving the day before, pre-night stays are available. After loading our luggage on the coach, our journey begins with a visit to the grand Blenheim Palace, where you’ll have the freedom to explore the palace and its stunning gardens at your own pace. After enjoying lunch on your own at one of the many charming cafés on the palace grounds, we’ll continue our journey to a picturesque B&B nestled in the heart of the Cotswold District. Spend the afternoon strolling through the scenic village before joining us for a group welcome dinner. Overnight in Cotswold village.

DAY 2- Monday, April 7: Cotswolds Villages

Today, we’ll embark on a journey through the enchanting villages of the Cotswolds. After a brief introduction from your tour leader at each location, you’ll have ample time to explore the quaint streets and unique shops on your own. We’ll also gather for a traditional pub lunch in one of the villages. Returning to our B&B in the late afternoon, you’ll have time to relax, enjoy a leisurely stroll, or savor an evening cocktail or dinner at one of the local eateries. Overnight in Cotswold village.

DAY 3 - Tuesday, April 8: Oxford

Today our adventure takes us to the historic city of Oxford, renowned for its prestigious universities, captivating museums, and storied libraries. Harry Potter fans will recognize some iconic filming locations at the University. Our visit includes a guided tour of the Bodleian Library and Christ Church College. Enjoy a special lunch in town, followed by free time for independent exploration. We’ll return to our B&B in the late afternoon, giving you more opportunities to soak in the charming ambiance of the Cotswolds. Overnight in Cotswold village.

DAY 4 - Wednesday, April 9: Stratford-upon-Avon

Today, we travel north to the charming town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. We will explore the town’s literary landmarks, including Shakespeare's birthplace and other significant sites with a knowledgeable local guide. If the schedule allows, we’ll attend a Shakespearean production at one of the local theaters. After a day of cultural immersion, we’ll return to our Cotswold B&B in the late afternoon. DAY 5 - Thursday, April 10: Avebury Henge, Wells and Transfer to Bath

Our journey today takes us to the historic city of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient heritage. On the way we will visit Avebury Henge, an intriguing and lesser-known stone circle where you can explore the site up close. We’ll then stop in the picturesque town of Wells, famous for its remarkably preserved medieval streets. Upon arriving in Bath, check in to your city center hotel before we walk to a nearby restaurant for a group dinner, offering you your first taste of this elegant city. Overnight in Bath.

DAY 6 - Friday, April 11: Wales

Bath’s proximity to Wales makes it an ideal base for exploration. Today, we’ll venture into Wales, starting with a visit to the seaside Caerphilly Castle, renowned for its impressive medieval architecture and beloved leaning tower. Next, we’ll head to Cardiff, the vibrant capital city, where you’ll be surprised by its blend of historical and modern attractions. Enjoy a group lunch featuring traditional Welsh cuisine before returning to Bath in the afternoon. Spend your evening exploring more of Bath on your own, with plenty of dining options available. Overnight in Bath.

DAY 7 - Saturday, April 12: Bath

Today will be dedicated to discovering the treasures of Bath. We will begin with a guided tour of the Roman Baths, an exceptional UNESCO site. After lunch on your own, we will be able to visit one of the last remaining English workshops where gilding and traditional book binding is done where even the royal family take their favorite books to be restored. Our final evening will be celebrated with a farewell group dinner in Bath. Overnight in Bath.

DAY 8 - Sunday, April 13: Departure

Today we will arrange transfers back to London Heathrow Airport. If you’re flying internationally today, we recommend not scheduling flights before noon. For those continuing to London for a post-trip extension or departing the following day, a later transfer will be organized.
