Reconnect to yourself, nature, and the rhythms of Alpine life on this deeply restorative journey in Italy’s Gran Paradiso National Park. Led by our beloved hiking leader Enrica Fantini and our yoga & mindful movement expert Nick Harris, this week-long escape blends rejuvenating practices, breathtaking mountain hikes, nourishing local cuisine, and the slow-living serenity of Valle di Rhêmes.

Your experience includes roundtrip transfers from Milan Malpensa Airport, daily mindful movement and restorative sessions, guided hikes of varying levels, all meals, and six nights at a beautiful 4-star spa hotel in the heart of the valley.

This retreat can also be easily paired with additional European travel—offering a peaceful, soul-filling contrast to peak-season crowds.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 - Sunday, June 28 : Transfer to Italian Alps - Welcome Gathering

This morning, enjoy a scenic group transfer from the Milan Malpensa Airport area to the Valle di Aosta region of Italy, entering the quiet splendor of Gran Paradiso National Park. Pre-nights can be arranged at an airport hotel or in Milan center.

Afternoon & Evening Program Welcome Meeting – Meet your fellow travelers and your guides for the week.

Arrival Ceremony – Gentle seated and standing movements to shake off travel fatigue, breathing practices to ground the nervous system, and a guided moment of presence as we arrive fully into this mountain sanctuary. Welcome Dinner – Enjoy a delicious meal of local cuisine featuring Alpine cheeses, mountain herbs, fresh produce, and traditional dishes.

Evening Restorative Session – Deeply calming breathwork and supported poses to soothe the body and prepare for sound sleep. Intention: Arriving in the body, letting go, gratitude. Overnight: Hotel Granta Parey, Rhêmes-Notre-Dame (6 nights)

DAY 2 - Monday, June 29 - Hike, Empower and Explore

Morning Mindful Movement - Exploratory movement to gently awaken the body, followed by breathwork and meditation designed to open heart, mind, and soul.

Today’s Hike: Lake Pellaud & the Rhemes Waterfalls Loop Begin with a beautiful warm-up hike into the Lac de Pellaud, an emerald-green alpine lake fed by glacial streams. The trail continues through larch forests, past waterfalls and wooden footbridges—an ideal first hike to connect with the landscape and your personal sense of strength. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch along the lakeshore today. Distance: 4–6 miles | Difficulty: Easy–Moderate | Elevation Gain: ~250 m

Evening Restorative Session - Breathwork and meditation supporting healthy digestion and mental nourishment. Intention: Connecting to personal power, strength, and motivation.

DAY 3 - Tuesday, June 30: Hike, Open & Expand

Morning Mindful Movement - A heart-opening flow inviting new beginnings, receptivity, self-love, and gratitude.

Today’s Hike: Rifugio Benevolo & the High Alpine Meadows Follow the trail along the gentle rise of the river to reach the panoramic Rifugio Benevolo, one of the most beloved refuges in the park. Surrounded by vast meadows and soaring peaks, this is a place where ibex and chamois often graze. Today we will enjoy lunch at the refuge. Distance: 7–8 miles | Difficulty: Moderate | Elevation Gain: ~500 m

Evening Restorative Session - Full-body scan meditation combined with deep breath release. Intention: Softening into love, forgiveness, and compassion. Evening Restorative Session - A fully supported restorative practice using bolsters, blankets, blocks—an immersion in softness. Intention: Releasing physical or emotional baggage; surrendering.

Day 4 - Wednesday, July 1: Hike, Flow & Release

Today’s Hike: Foresteria della Vaudalettaz Today's hike will be a dive into the park’s wildest valley, where very few venture—kingdom of wildlife and deep peace. A small park refuge nestled in the mountains will welcome us for lunch. The setting is perfect for a short meditation, centered on the power and presence of true wilderness. Distance: 3–4 miles | Difficulty: Moderate | Elevation Gain: ~580 m

Day 5 - Thursday, July 2: Hike, Rise & Expand

Today’s Hike: Col di Entrelor (Lower Ridge Route) Hike the panoramic lower section of the trail toward Colle dell’Entrelor, a famed pass connecting the Rhêmes and Valsavarenche valleys. We stop before the strenuous summit section, staying within moderate difficulty while still capturing the wide-open Alpine views. Picnic lunch with or lunch at Marmotte mountain hut, sweeping views. Distance: 5–6 miles | Difficulty: Moderate–Challenging (customizable) | Elevation Gain: 400–500 m

Evening Restorative Session - Gentle spinal decompression and nervous system–soothing breathwork. Intention: Stepping beyond limits, embracing challenge and freedom.

Day 6 - Friday, July 3: Hike, Integrate & Balance

Morning Mindful Movement - A balanced flow integrating strength and softness—the yin and yang of everyday life.

Today’s Hike: Rhêmes-Notre-Dame Pasture Loop & Ibex Watching Point A final, harmonious hike through rolling pastures known for excellent ibex sightings. This gentler loop allows for open reflection and integration of the week’s experiences, with opportunities for quiet journaling in nature. Distance: 4–5 miles | Difficulty: Easy–Moderate | Elevation Gain: ~200–300 m

Evening Restorative Session - Full-body unwinding, alternate-nostril breathing, deeply calming restorative poses. Intention: Unifying the week’s energies.

Day 7 - Saturday, July 4: Radiate & Return – Departure

Morning Mindful Movement - A joyful whole-body flow weaving together favorite movements from the week. Breath, movement, and presence combine in a celebratory closing practice. Transfer to Milan Malpensa Airport - After breakfast and check-out, group transfer returns you to Milan Malpensa Airport for onward travel. Departing Restorative - Gratitude meditation followed by our closing circle. Intention: Carrying the experience home, radiating outward
