Fly from the US to Palermo, Sicily

Upon arrival in Palermo, a driver will meet our group at the airport and take us to Momentum resort, near Selinunte. You will have time to rest and relax before dinner tonight at the resort. For those wishing to arrive a few days early, a pre-trip to Palermo is available. Overnight at Momentum Resort.

We will start the day with a hike in Selinunte, one of Europe's largest archaeological parks, where you will be blown away by the ancient Greek ruins over the blue Mediterranean Sea. In the afternoon we will return to the resort for a yoga class and relaxation. We will then visit a local olive producer where we will enjoy a tasting, followed by a traditional “farm” dinner. Today we will visit the famous salt pans of Ettore Infersa, dating back to the time of the Phoenicians, and enjoy a special salt tasting near Marsala. We will then take a boat trip around Mozia Island (short ride - no open sea) followed by a visit to a great local producer of Marsala wine. There we will enjoy a private tasting of the local sweet and smooth Marsala wines. Overnight at Momentum Resort.

Today you will tour the small Baroque hill town of Erice and meet the famous Maria Grammatico known for the most famous Sicilian sweets and pastries. You will enjoy a fun dessert cooking class with Maria followed by lunch. In the afternoon we’ll return to the resort for a Pilates or yoga class. . Overnight at Momentum Resort

Today we will move from the west side of the island to the east side. En route we will stop in the town of Caltagirone, a countryside town with a colorful history. Famous for its pottery, the highlight of the town is the 142-step staircase decorated in local ceramics. Afterwards, we will arrive at the island of Ortigia in Siracusa where our hotel is located. After arrival you will have time to explore this charming city. Overnight in Ortigia (Siracusa).

Today we will wander the baroque jewel of Noto, an amazing city built at the end of the 17th century after an earthquake destroyed Old Noto entirely. We will have time to visit one of the amazing pastry shops and enjoy a stop for a few more pastries. After we will visit Planeta winery for a tasting with a special lunch cooked where you will enjoy many of the local specialties. Upon return to Siracusa, there will be free time to shop and enjoy the bars and restaurants. Overnight in Ortigia (Siracusa).

This morning we will venture north to Taormina, which is considered one the foremost pearls of the Mediterranean Sea. You can stroll along its famous promenades, enjoy the delicious pastries and granitas and take in the breathtaking views of the sea and Mt. Etna. This evening will be our farewell dinner which can be done at a winery on the slopes of Mt. Etna or back in Siracusa. Overnight in Ortigia (Siracusa)

Today you will be transferred to Catania airport for your return flight to the US. You can schedule your flight for anytime today or extend your stay in Siracusa.
